How will the new Virginia Medical Card law affect out of state dispensaries?

I've been wondering why the report I read said that the Board will still provide state medical cards if requested. It made me think perhaps they are anticipating the need to still use a card out of state. I called Takoma Wellness Center in DC to get their stance on it. They hadn't heard about the new law, but they said if the Board is still going to make cards available to people, they will still require the card. So, for now, if you plan to use it in DC or elsewhere, keep renewing/applying for your card from the Board. I'll keep you (and them) up to date if I hear anything new about that.
